The state of Kansas is committed to protecting one of its most valuable treasures -- its school children.
On any given day, approximately 20 percent of the state’s populace is in a school environment, which includes students, teachers, administrators and support staff. To address concerns about emergency preparedness in schools, in 2009 the state of Kansas launched the Kansas Center for Safe and Prepared Schools, where you will find information and resources on making your community’s schools prepared for emergency situations.
